Don't believe what they tell you, living in France is EASY! What's more of a challenge is living here and making sure you get the great 'French experience.' Who wants to spend months in one of the most beautiful countries in the world stuck in an apartment, dreaming of home and gorging on imported Oreos? Not us and surely not you.
When you arrive in Lyon you will meet the Study Abroad Liaisons
and Coordinators whose job is to be your problem solvers, tour guides, and general know-it-alls during your time here, so that when you leave France you'll be sobbing all the way to the airport.

If you're one of those people who can't be bothered to read instructions for new appliances and even finds 'A Quick Guide To Installing Your (fill in name of machine here)' a huge mental challenge, then this is for you. Fall 2010 : Some Dates
We would like everyone to arrive on Tuesday September 7th so we can meet you at the airport. From there we'll take a taxi to the residence. On Wednesday morning you'll get to know the area around the residence and will be helped to do all the tedious but important stuff like getting a phone and a travel pass. In the afternoon we will come to the residence at about 2.30pm to set you on your 'jeu de piste' - a very sexy treasure hunt thing where you'll discover some of the delights of Lyon including the whereabouts of CEFAM's three campuses. After the treasure hunt there will be an opportunity for refreshment ;-)
That evening you are all invited to meet the staff and administration of CEFAM - as well as the Study Abroad team - at a dinner.
On September 9th (that's Thursday for those of you still with jet lag!) there will be an orientation meeting at the school at 10am - followed by a lunch thing. On Friday there's a walking tour of various useful Lyon places. And on Saturday, it's the truly excellent CEFAM Integration Weekend.
Other activities for this semester will include a cheese tasting, a wine tasting, a visit to the Beaujolais and no doubt many more exciting diversions
Oh, and by the way, classes begin on the 13th September. That's why you're here, right?
